Supercross USA 2018, Anaheim-I: two out of three steps of the podium to Airoh
To welcome the riders in the first round of the 2018 Supercross at the Angel Stadium, a crowd of 60,000 spectators. On the podium Marvin Musquin, who dominated the race, followed by our Jason Anderson who ended up third.
With Anaheim # 1, the 2018 Supercross season officially started. The victory went to our French KTM Marvin Musquin who, after the success of last October in the Monster Energy Cup, started off great what could be a significant season for him. Coming from fifth place after the first lap, Musquin worked with precision and was never really challenged: Marvin in fact has pushed his KTM Red Bull to the limit, but always running as only he knows how. Both in the tests and heat race he held a low profile but, once the race started, he gave us a show, as usual.
On the second step of the podium arrived another rider of the Airoh team, Jason Anderson, the protagonist of a good comeback and duel with Barcia, who settled third. Jason then continues his love affair with A1, collecting victories in both classes. The sixth position at the start line of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider prevented him from winning, but with persistence he managed to win the deserved second place, starting 2018 in a big way.
We’ll catch up in Houston next weekend for the second round of the season.
