World Enduro Championship: Airoh Helmets great protagonist in Greece
Airoh Helmets collected amazing victories and wonderful podiums in this weekend too, and proved to be the leader of national parades of EnduroGP.
From Hungary to Greece: on Sunday and Saturday, World Enduro Championship stops off in Grevena, 160 km north west of Salonicco, for the fifth meeting of the season 2017. The burning heat and the temperature constantly higher than 45° in the shade characterized the race.
AIROH HELMETS collected amazing victories and wonderful podiums in this weekend too, and proved to be the leader of national parades of EnduroGP with the English Steve Holcombe (Beta), in Enduro2 with the young Spanish Josep Garcia (KTM) and in EJ class with the Italian Davide Soreca (Honda-RedMoto).
In EnduroGP of Greece, Holcombe prevailed over the fellow countryman Nathan Watson (KTM) with Alex Salvini (Beta) fourth, Christophe Nambotin (KTM) fifth, Jaume Betriu (KTM) sixth, Matthew Phillips (Sherco) seventh, Mathias Bellino (Husqvarna) eighth and Giacomo Redondi (Honda-RedMoto) tenth.
On Saturday, the victory belongs to Garcia in Enduro2, with the other riders of AIROH HELMETS who got the following places: Davide Guarneri (Honda Red-Moto) third, Pascal Raucheneker (Husqvarna) fourth, Daniel McCanney (Husqvarna) seventh, Lorenzo Santolino (Sherco) eighth, Daniel Sanders (KTM) ninth, Thomas Oldrati (Husqvarna) eleventh.
On Sunday in EnduroGP, new triumph and two first places of the podium for the English Watson (KTM) and Holcombe (Beta). Salvini (Beta) has ended again on fourth position, after losing the third place of the podium just on the last special. Good race of Betriu too (KTM) fifth, Bellino (Husqvarna) sixth, Phillips (Sherco) seventh, Nambotin (KTM) ninth, lingered by a bad fall on the first extreme test, while Redondi (Honda-RedMoto) ended again in the top ten.
In the fight for victory till the last special of Enduro2, Garcia on Sunday (KTM) had to settle for the second position before Guarneri (Honda-RedMoto). Fifth position of Raucheneker (Husqvarna) in Enduro2, seventh position of Daniel McCanney (Husqvarna), eighth for Sanders (KTM), eleventh for Oldrati (Husqvarna) before Santolino (Sherco).
In EJ class, on Saturday second place of Soreca (Honda-RedMoto), who was the protagonist of a sensational come-back race on Sunday, from the seventh position to the third position because of a fall on the first special.
Next agonistic meeting for AIROH HELMETS riders is Portugal GP in Castelo Branco, planned for 21 – 23 of July.
