For motorcyclists who are more sensitive to noise, there are several tricks that can make the helmet quieter even at high speeds.

Choosing the right size

A helmet that is too large leaves empty spaces that encourage the creation of internal air vortices, increasing noise. correct size It's the first step to reducing noise.

Useful accessories and adjustments

  • Usa stop wind e nose cover (if provided by the model) to reduce air intake.

  • Close air vents whenever possible, especially at high speeds.

  • Travel with the visor fully lowered and closed.

Other factors to consider

Improper installation of Bluetooth communication systems can also increase noise, leaving gaps in the air. Furthermore, the type of motorbike , driving posture influence: the greater the pilot's exposure, the stronger the perceived turbulence will be.

In these cases, it is good practice to replace the damaged parts or, if this is not possible, replace the helmet directly.

Safety checks and inspections

After an impact, even if not externally visible, the helmet's structure may have lost its energy-absorbing ability. In these situations, contact an authorized dealer who can perform an inspection or send the helmet directly to Airoh for a more thorough inspection.

If structural damage is found, the helmet can no longer guarantee the original protection standards and must be replaced.

A motorcycle crash, whether small or large, is part of every motorcyclist's experience: from young beginners to MotoGP champions. But what to do if the helmet suffered an impact?

The main rule is simple: Don't ignore it and have it checked by qualified personnel.

Why you should check your helmet after a crash

In the event of a fall or impact, the helmet may suffer damage that is not visible. outer and inner shell They absorb collision energy through cracks or microfractures. These defects aren't always visible to the naked eye, but they compromise the helmet's safety.

Who can perform the verification?

  • Contact a Airoh specialized dealer, who will be able to assess the condition of the helmet.
  • If necessary, the dealer will send the product directly to the company for further inspection.

Il motorcycle helmet retention system It often varies depending on the type of use. Helmets with a racing vocation, both on-road and off-road, usually feature the double D closure, while helmets dedicated to touring or urban commuting more often adopt the micrometric closure.

Differences between double D and micrometric

  • Double D closure: mandatory on the track and in competitions, it is considered safer because it minimizes the risk of accidental untying.

  • Micrometric closure: used on modular, flip-up, jet and demi-jet, it is more practical and quicker to attach and detach, ideal for tourist or urban use.

Both systems are compliant with the Highway Code and adjustable to fit the rider perfectly.

The importance of always wearing a helmet

Safety also depends on a simple gesture: fasten your helmet correctlyWearing a helmet without fastening it is equivalent to not having one. TECHNOLOGIES

ASN

The first step to defend yourself against a threat is to let things slide. Easier said than done, but not in this case.

Airoh in fact introduces the ASN system (Airoh Sliding Net), a 3-D fabric structure that helps reduce the forces transmitted to the head in the event of an impact.

The 2 external walls of the ASN system in fact have relative motion between them, which allows better dissipation of the energy resulting from the impact.

You will also enjoy incredible ventilation, crucial in the most extreme conditions of use.

Airoh has taken the concept of interior removal to a higher level with its AMLS (Airoh Magnetic Lining System).

The headset has five powerful magnets (three in the front and two in the back) and each cheek pad holds three, ensuring easy and quick removal of the interior for cleaning and sanitization, as well as stability and comfort in all conditions of use.

Technological evolution represents an unstoppable force, as does the ambition that pushes Airoh to introduce increasingly high-performance systems, such as the new system AMS² Plus and sets the safety and comfort parameters to the highest levels.

For the first time, a new material is introduced, which forms the heart of the system capable of dissipating kinetic energy in the event of an impact.

State-of-the-art plastic material, engineered to provide the best protection against the forces affecting the head in the event of a crash. The material, in contact with the head, has a shape memory and ensures a superb fit, improving comfort.

The system, which is made up of two overlapping shells with different densities, has been further upgraded with the renewed design of the silicone polymers, which ensure relative motion between the two hemispheres.

This improvement makes it even more more effective response to stresses in the event of an angular impact, and the consequent ability of the AMS² Plus system to dissipate the amount of energy transmitted to the rider's head.

AMS² (Airoh Multiaction Safety System) It is the exclusive Airoh Helmet® patent, the result of careful studies to determine the most frequent accident dynamics and, consequently, the characteristics of the impacts that the helmet must absorb, to find the most suitable response to guarantee the rider's safety.

This cutting-edge system is aimed at making the inner shell of the helmet is even safer; in fact, it uses a pair of overlapping hemispheres made of polystyrene with different densities, separated by a particular system of silicone inserts.

These silicone polymers allow the shell to move in the direction of the impact in the event of an angled impact, significantly reducing the amount of energy transmitted directly to the head of the helmet wearer.
