We've rounded up some of the ultimate dream destinations to inspire you and, why not, inspire your next motorcycle adventures and trips.
North Cape and the Atlantic Road (Norway)
Defined by many motorcyclists as the “trip of a lifetime,” North Cape is an experience that goes beyond a simple itinerary: it is a total immersion in Arctic landscapes, fjords, and extreme nature.
We start from southern or central Norway, crossing the majestic fjords along the Atlantic coast and tackling the famous hairpin bends of the Trollstigen, until reaching the iconic GeirangerfjordContinuing north you pass by Molde to take the spectacular Atlantic Rd, a succession of suggestive suspension bridges over the ocean. From here the journey continues along the E6, crossing the Norwegian Lapland, where the road gets lost among infinite silences and spectacular Arctic landscapes.
With a possible, highly recommended, detour towards the Lofoten Islands, we continue to the most extreme point of the European continent. The arrival at Nordkapp, with the last few kilometers overlooking the Barents Sea, culminates in front of the famous “Globe”, a symbol of conquest and freedom. In summer, between late May and late July, the midnight sun transforms the experience into something even more unique and unforgettable.
Route 66 (USA)
Route 66 is the road trip par excellence, an absolute symbol of freedom that runs through the soul of the United States, embodying the true “American dream”.
The complete itinerary covers approximately 3.900 km through 8 states. The starting point is the legendary “Begin” sign in Chicago, among the skyscrapers of the Illinois metropolis. We leave the city to enter the great plains of the Midwest, between Oklahoma and Texas, where the “Mother road” still retains the charm of vintage diners and historic motels.
The route continues towards the West, crossing movie-like landscapes between New Mexico and Arizona, among endless deserts, iconic scenery and unmissable detours such as Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Petrified Forest National Park and Grand CanyonThe last part of the journey crosses the Mojave desert all the way to California, where Route 66 symbolically ends at the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles, under the famous “End of the Trail” sign.
Morocco
An itinerary that combines culture, driving, and adventure, from the heart of the imperial cities to the gates of the Sahara.
The journey begins between Fès e Marrakech, two symbols of Moroccan history and culture, and then head towards the Atlas MountainsHere the road changes pace and becomes an ideal terrain to test your driving skills, between passes above 2.000 metres such as the Tizi n'Tichka and spectacular scenery such as the Dades and Todra Gorges. As you approach the desert, the scenery completely transforms until you reach dunes and the dunes of the Sahara desert.
Here, many motorcyclists choose to experience a night in a Berber tented camp, under a starry sky, free from light pollution, immersed in the surreal silence of the desert: a suspended moment that marks the heart of the journey.
Bhutan (the last Shangri-la)
A mystical itinerary through the Himalayas, suspended monasteries, and roads seemingly designed in silence, immersed in pristine and deeply evocative landscapes. The perfect blend of the adrenaline of motorcycle touring and Tibetan spirituality.
The journey begins between Strike and the famous Tiger's Nest, perched on a cliff at 3.120 meters, also reachable with a short hike. Returning on the saddle you reach the Dochula Pass, at 3.100 metres, from which the view opens onto the Himalayas in all their grandeur and magnificence, offering postcard-perfect views.
We continue crossing the Phobjikha Valley, among rhododendron and pine forests, in a landscape immersed in an almost unreal silence. The final stage is Thimphu, a capital city unlike any other in the world, where traffic is regulated by traffic policemen wearing their iconic white gloves who direct traffic with choreographed gestures, in the total absence of traffic lights.
South American route (Bolivia, Chile, Argentina)
An extreme journey through some of the most spectacular and remote ecosystems on Earth.
We start in Bolivia from Uyuni Salt Flats, the largest salt flat in the world, and then cross the Atacama desert, between San Pedro and breathtaking scenery that almost seems to belong to another planet. Here you'll have the opportunity to admire high-altitude lagoons with incredibly intense colors, geysers, and other natural wonders.
As you climb higher you enter the heart of the Ande, along spectacular passes such as the Black Water Crossing, the pass between Chile and Argentina at over 4.500 meters above sea level, where the landscape alternates between desert, snow and wind.
The journey continues along the Austral road and the mythical 40 Route, which runs parallel to the Andes through Patagonia and iconic locations such as San Martin de los AndesThe adventure ends in the Tierra del Fuego, coming to Ushuaia, in Tierra del Fuego National Park, where the world really seems to end.
Red Center and Great Ocean Road (Australia)
A journey that unites two opposing souls: the absolute silence of the outback and the indomitable force of the ocean.
It starts from Alice SpringsIn the heart of the Red Center, following the Lasseter Highway to Uluru, with a possible recommended detour towards the King's Canyon. Going south along the Stuart Highway meets Coober Pedy, the underground city of opal, before reaching Adelaide.
From here the road changes face, as does the surrounding landscape, with the spectacular Great Ocean Road, a succession of curves and cliffs overlooking the ocean, the perfect road to be amazed and test your driving skills. Among the most iconic moments is the passage to the Twelve Apostles, huge limestone formations that emerge from the sea. The journey ends in Melbourne, with the possibility of a detour towards the circuit of Phillip Island for the most passionate.
