Website and mobile application accessibility statement for entities referred to in Article 3, paragraph 1-bis of Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004
Website: Airoh
Declaration
Airoh is committed to making its website accessible, in compliance with Law no. 4 of 9 January 2004.
This accessibility statement applies to the “Airoh” website https://airoh.com.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the requirements set out in Appendix A of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard. The cases of non-compliance are listed below.
Contents not accessible
The contents listed below are not accessible due to non-compliance with Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004:
9.4.1.2 – Errors have been detected in the application of ARIA roles. Specifically, some mandatory parent roles such as list, menu, or tablist do not contain the required child roles (listitem, menuitem, and tab, respectively). This omission compromises the semantic structure of interactive interfaces and hinders correct interpretation by assistive technologies. Furthermore, ARIA attributes that are incompatible with the element's role have been used (for example, aria-selected applied to an element with role=”button”), creating ambiguity for screen readers.
9.2.4.4 – Links with generic text (e.g., "click here," "read more") or represented solely by unlabeled icons or lacking an accessible name were identified. This results in a lack of clarity regarding the purpose of the link, particularly for users accessing the site using assistive technologies, who cannot understand the link's direction without a visual context.
9.2.2.2 – Dynamic and moving elements (such as automatic carousels, autoplaying videos, and animated banners) that offer no controls for pausing, stopping, or muting have been detected. This lack may cause difficulties in using content for people with cognitive or visual impairments, as it distracts attention and interferes with reading adjacent content.
9.4.1.1 – A widespread presence of structural errors in the HTML code has been discovered, such as improperly closed tags, incorrect nesting, duplicate IDs, or the use of invalid attributes. These errors can disrupt the intended behavior of the interface and prevent assistive technologies from correctly interpreting the hierarchy and functionality of page elements.
2.4.3 – Elements with aria-hidden=”true” have been identified that are still keyboard focusable or contain active controls. This inconsistency creates confusion for users navigating with screen readers or keyboard-only, as they are guided to content that shouldn't be announced or active.
9.2.4.1 – iframes have been identified that lack a descriptive title, making it impossible for screen readers to announce the element's purpose or content. Additionally, skip links, where present, are broken because they point to non-existent IDs or unfocusable elements, defeating the purpose of facilitating direct navigation to the page's main content.
9.1.3.1 – an inconsistent hierarchical organization of the headers was found, with level jumps (e.g. from to ), which confuse navigation by headings and hinder understanding the logical structure of the page. Furthermore, some tables contain header cells ( ) that lack the scope attribute or have an inconsistent scope, making it difficult for assistive technologies to establish the correct association between headers and data cells.
