Airoh is present at the Autogiro and Motogiro d’Italia 2021. A raid between history, tradition and beauty

On & Off Road, Turism, City ​​Utility but not only, Airoh this year decides to walk also between history and traditions.

The company takes part, with its AirohTechTruck to the Autogiro and Motogiro d’Italia the on road granfondo heirs of epic raids which accompanied the imagination of millions of fans from the first years of the last century, which today represents a fixed and highly anticipated appointments into the Historical challenges panorama.

This year will take place the Autogiro and the Motogiro of the “two seas”, starting from the Adriatic banks, in which the participants will come back, only after crossing the Maremma, enjoying the breathtaking landascapes of Grosseto and the Tyrrhenian Sea; but also those of San Marino, Todi, Spoleto and Ascoli where emotions, history and traditions are immersed in the beautiful nature of the Central Italy and its Apennines.

There is more, the Autogiro d’Italia is freely inspired by the courage, effort and technique of challenges in black and white, with riders and car which tell the story of a wonderful sport, the motoring, from this edition also the future will be written. These events, from its beginning, were created to test and to promote cars, showing to everyone what were prerogatives of reliability, strength and performance of a means of transport that would have marked the future of mobility also marking the uses and customs of millions of people, among the participants, one Merceded-Benz EQC that makes us live the tomorrow.

Five categories allowed: Historich, Classic, Vintage, Supercar and Turistic.

An high quality parterre this year which boasts the presence of some cars of highest values like the Austin Haley mod BJ7 and 3000 MK respectively of 1960 and 1966, the Jaguar E-Type, the XK150 Cabrio, the XK120 and the S-Type, the wonderful Maserati Ghibli SS of 1970, the Maserati Mexico, the rare Lamborghini Islero produced in just 225 exemplary. A lot of Porsche from the 356A of 1958, Ferrari, some Alfa Romeo, in which there is also a Dino Cupè and a Montreal, but also BMW, Lancia, Toyota, Triumph, MG and Mercedes which, as already cited, participate also with an electric car, thank to which the Autogiro get into tomorrow.

Autogiro d’Italia does not travel alone but in a combination of history and tradition merges with the Motogiro d’Italia, the historical re-enactment of the oldest and most prestigious motorcycle race, Italian in stages. As well as for the Autogiro, also the two wheels will cover the 1600 kilometers sharing starts, arrivals and special stages. Excellent presences with about 10 models before the 40s, an Indian of 1929, a Brough Superior, the Lawrence of Arabia’s motorbike of 1931 and also some Vincent Motorcycles. Among riders Pierpoalo Bianchi, three times iridatum in the eighth of a liter, who participate in the saddle of a Benelli Leoncino, not vintage motorcycles but part of the current range, Emerson Gattafono, journalist and documentary maker but above all rider on the saddle of a Ducati Multistrada and Wendy Pojmann journalist too and American writer.

In short, a great itinerant festival of engines to which Airoh did not want to miss and that, from Monday 11 until Saturday 16 October, with the patronage of the ASI and the FMI, will see over one hundred and fifty crews in total, in dream cars and motorcycles, give life to a unique and fascinating event. The starting point is the MWC Marco Simoncelli of Misano, the first step will end in San Marino, where have to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the 125cc conquest of the world title of Manuel Poggiali (2001), then Todi, Grosseto, Ascoli Piceno and the grand finale, to the heln of the sixth step, on the Misano Adriatico Seafront.
